See Roles and Permissions for more information.

Once you have subscribed to Silver-lining DR for PAYG, you can access the self service portal.

Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Compute Overview page. Either:

  • Select the Compute tile from the CloudCreator Landing page:

  • Or select the Virtual Clouds icon to navigate to the Summary screen for your virtual cloud, and select the Compute tab:

2. The Compute Overview page appears (shown below). Here you can view:

  • All your compute services and the locations you are using them .
  • How many resources you have in location, and their status.
  • The number of individual resources consuming a Silver-lining service, with access to the tool's admin portal.
  • See The Compute Overview Page to find out more.

3.  Locate the PAYG datacentre (either source or target) that you require and click the SLDR icon  to access the self service portal.

Note: You can access the self service portal via either datacentre. In the rare event of a datacentre outage, or the underlying storage of the VMs becoming unavailable, you can login to the self-service portal via the target datacentre to initiate a failover.

4. The Silver-lining DR portal appears. From this screen you can:

  • Configure new Virtual Protection Groups to replicate between sites. See Configure Virtual Protection Groups.
  • Initiate a test failover. See Run a Test Failover.
  • Initiate a real failover. See Run a Real Failover.
  • View your VPGs and VMs by clicking the tabs at the top left of the console.
  • Change the view by clicking either General, Performance or Backup at the upper right of the console.
  • View the inbound and outbound replication (indicated by arrows in the Direction column).
  • Search for help by clicking the access icon  at the top right of the console.
