Link, Unlink and Modify Accounts

Link an Account to AWS or Azure
Use these steps to link an account to a public cloud provider.
1. Login to CloudCrator and click on the Virtual Clouds icon in the sidebar.
2. If your company is using multiple virtual clouds, click the cloud name at the top of your screen. Then select either a Parent or Child cloud from the dropdown menu.
3. In the Summary screen, select the Providers tab.
4. The Providers screen appears showing your accounts and providers. Click the Select Account drop down menu and select an account or multiple accounts. A tick will appear next to the accounts you have selected.
5. Click the Providers drop down menu to select the provider you want to link to. Then click the Link Provider button to confirm.
6. The Link Provider Account screen appears.
7. Complete the fields as follows and click the green Link button to confirm.
Field | Description |
Provider | Auto-filled with your chosen provider. |
Friendly name | Insert a reference name for the link provider account. |
Access key ID | Insert the Access key ID for the link provider account. |

If you don't have this, follow these steps to create a new one:
1. Navigate to AWS and sign in to the AWS Management Console as the root user (not IAM user). 2. If you see the IAM user sign-in page, choose Sign-in using root account credentials near the bottom of the page. This will return you to the main sign-in page. 3. On the IAM dashboard page, select your account name and My security credentials. 4. Open the Access keys section and Create New Access Key. 5. The secret access key will display or can be downloaded. |

Use these steps to unlink an account from a public cloud provider.
1. Login to CloudCreator and click on the Virtual Clouds icon in the sidebar.
2. If your company is using multiple virtual clouds, click the cloud name at the top of your screen. Then select either a Parent or Child cloud from the dropdown menu.
3. In the Summary screen, select the Providers tab.
4. In the Providers screen, locate the account you want to unlink, and click Unlink.
5. A notification will appear. Click OK to confirm.
Use these steps to modify an account by changing the cloud provider region. If you have any other changes, you will need to unlink the account first.
1. Click the Virtual Clouds icon in the sidebar.
2. If your company is using multiple virtual clouds, click the cloud name at the top of your screen. Then select either a Parent or Child cloud from the dropdown.
3. In the Summary screen, click the Providers tab.
4. The Providers screen appears showing your accounts and providers. Locate the account you want to change and click Modify.
5. The Link Provider Details screen appears. Select the new region and click the green Link button to confirm.
