Access the Power Controls

Follow these steps to access the controls:

1. Navigate to the Compute Overview page. You can either:

  • Select the Compute tile from the CloudCreator Landing page:

  • Or navigate to the Summary screen for your virtual cloud, and select the Compute tab:

2. The Compute Overview page appears (shown below). This shows all your resources grouped by the service types you are subscribed to.

3. Locate the Service Type/Location of the VM you want to view and click the blue Resource Number next to it. For example, the screenshot below shows the selection of the Managed VMware VM's located at the WPD datacentre.

4. The Compute Details page appears. Locate the VM you want to control by using the search function and filters. See The Compute Detail Page for more information about how to use the page.

5. Select the 3 dots > select a control type > select the required control. The controls you can access will vary depending on your role, the services you are subscribed to and the state of the individual VM.

Example: The screenshot below shows the power controls available for a Managed VMware VM.

6. In the confirmation window, click Confirm.

7. A notification will appear at the top of your screen. Click the bell icon  to view.

All VM events also show on the Recent Events panel on the CloudCreator dashboard. These include VM removal, power on and off, rollback, failures, etc.
