Role Types in CloudCreator

There are four types of roles in CloudCreator. These are described below.

What the Role Controls

Who Can Assign Roles?

CloudCreator Administrator Roles

  • The screens you can view. 
  • The virtual cloud management functions you can perform in CloudCreator, e.g. Global Admin, Global Security Admin, Child Cloud User.

Users with the role of Global Admin can assign roles to users.

Onshore Cloud Service Roles

  • The functions you can perform within the onshore cloud services your organisation has subscribed to, e.g. Silver-lining Protect, VMware, Vault.

Note:

Global Admin and Cloud Admin users do not need to assign specific roles to themselves. They automatically have administrative access to all the services their organisation is subscribed to.

Offshore Cloud Service Roles
  • The functions you can perform within the offshore cloud services your organisation has subscribed to, e.g. AWS, Azure.
General Cloud Service Roles
  • The general CloudCreator functions you can perform in CloudCreator, e.g. Billing, Reports, Service Desk.
